Here is another great beer in collaboration with West Coast Brewing from Shizuoka, Lite Brite Neon Pils. A light, easy to drink Pilsner, generously dry hopped with Cascade, Hersbrucker, and Strisslespalt. Bright, crisp, and quaffable, this beer has Hop Dude creating killer designs with his new favorite toy.

This collaboration has been a long time coming. With a vast ocean between us, we decided to swap recipes, and brew exactly to the specification of the original beer. On our side, we have brought back a long time favorite of head brewer Andrew, Gramarye Pale Ale. An easy drinking pale ale with a rye backbone and light citrus and floral hop characters. Be a heretic and dive into some Gramarye.

This pale ale is made with Centennial and Citra hops as the base, and accented with Stata. A dank undertone adds to the clean and sweet citrus aromas and a tropical feel. A crisp bitterness and dry mouthfeel are balanced with citrus and tropical flavors. This is a great montage of hops from the 90's, 00's, and 10's.

A prequel to our Boss series, this may not be The Boss, but this small, petit hazy pale ale definitely holds its own. With a healthy dose of Comet, Strata, and Nectaron, and a dry finish, this juice bomb is a great way to start the night, perhaps even the perfect first step to a long career in pint lifting.

Columbus hops are overwhelmingly popular for their bitterness, but when it comes to aroma, most don’t know how to handle them. In order to make Columbus a "Little Giant," the DH was assembled with Columbus as the main hop, and balanced with Mosaic and Simcoe to prevent its characteristics from becoming too strong. Aromas of dank, orange, and muscat, with a good mouthfeel from the extra wheat malt ensure this beer can hold its own.

For the first collaboration beer of the year, we were honored to brew up this coffee infused Schwarzbier with Godspeed Brewing from Toronto. With just the right mix of crushed and whole bean coffee, we got a gentle but eye opening aroma, and a roasted backbone from the darker malts. Nothing says class like Asa-Ichi in your glass.

On our second beer using uchiwa cactus, we went for a more restrained and balanced profile. Mixing Farmhouse saison and PhillySour yeast, we ended up with aromatic esters from the Farmhouse strain, smooth peach and subtle tartness with a gentle acidic finish from PhillySour, and of course a pink hue from the cactus, all adding to the juiciness. No slacking off this time, we’re ‘farming’ for flavor!

Mango, mango, mango! This sour packs a mango punch like no other. We took a simple sour ale, and added what we felt would live up to 6 years of making killer beers. Extremely fruit forward, pushing towards a smoothie style sour with never actually crossing that line. This is a true delight!

Keeping it simple, as simple is usually best, this American pale ale is packed full of aroma and flavor. A blend of 6 different hops, offering a variety of citrus, piney, and dankness, and retaining a high level of drinkability, this beer is the perfect demonstration of what we’ve been perfecting at Tokyo Aleworks. With each year, we continue to grow stronger as brewers, as people, and therefore, as a community.

The aroma from the citra hops is so intense that it jumps right out at you! On top of that, you’ll be drawn in by the punchy taste, akin to being hit with a dragon fist. No matter how many pints you drink, you'll be swept away with each new pour!

A luxurious blend of oat and almond milk gives this stout its smoothness and body! Roasted malt coffee aromas unfold with nutty and cookie-like notes. The mouthfeel is smooth thanks to the milk and flaked oats, and there is almost no sweetness in the aftertaste, giving it a classy taste like an unsweetened latte in the late afternoon.
